An issue has been identified regarding the transfer of WA-*.log files from $IS_LOCAL/webadapter/log to $IS_SHARE/system/log after migrating to ICM 7.10.41.10-LTS.
If a WA-*.log file exceeds the configured webadapterAgent.requestLog.chunkSize value, only the first chunk is transferred. As a result, affected WA-*.log files are
transferred incompletely, and the original files remain in the $IS_LOCAL/webadapter/log directory.
This article outlines a workaround and a custom fix for customers using ICM 7.10.
Starting with ICM version 7.10.41.10-LTS, the WA-*.log files in $IS_LOCAL/webadapter/log are no longer deleted as expected. Additionally, the corresponding files in $IS_SHARE/system/log are incomplete. Only .part files are visible, all with the same file size, but none of them contain the full log content.
There are two options available to resolve this issue.
Increase the webadapterAgent.requestLog.chunkSize property in the global webadapter.properties file to a value larger than the typical size of the WA-*.log file
(e.g., webadapterAgent.requestLog.chunkSize=100000000 for 100MB). This change should be applied during deployment.
For detailed instructions, refer to Cookbook - Deployment Tools ICM 7.10 (Recipe: Change Deployed File Content With Filters).
A custom fix for the Web Adapter Agent is available for ICM 7.10.41.10-LTS. It can be downloaded as a ZIP archive:
Extract and use only the included JAR file and apply it during deployment. For implementation details, refer to Cookbook - Deployment Tools ICM 7.10 (Recipe: Custom Fix Deployment).
Alternatively, a preconfigured subproject is available:
Use the included webadapter-local subproject in your deployment to apply the fix. The updated webadapteragent.jar is already integrated.

+ webserver {

+ project(':webadapter-local'),

+ }
}
}

Note The issue has been addressed as of the ICM 7.10.41.11-LTS release. After migrating to a fixed version, remove the custom fix from your deployment. |
