After January 1, 2004 Intershop will no longer sell Enfinity 2.1 or associated cartridges to new
customers or allow its partners to order or resell this version in the Intershop product portfolio. This article presents a list of frequently
asked questions concerning the End of Life phase Intershop Enfinity 2.1 entered January 1, 2004.
What is happening to Enfinity 2.1?
Intershop is discontinuing Enfinity 2.1 and related cartridges, primarily because of its strong newer
versions addressing the same and more customer needs. This is called an End of Life for the Enfinity
2.1 product, effective January 1, 2004.
When will this take effect?
As of close of business January 1, 2004, Intershop will no longer sell Enfinity 2.1. Intershop will no longer provide Patches for Enfinity 2.1. Intershop will
continue support of Enfinity 2.1 and associated cartridges until December 31, 2005.
How do I upgrade? What will it cost?
In order to transition to the appropriate successor, Intershop Services offers a migration package. For
detailed information please contact your sales representative.
What is an appropriate successor product?
Recommended successor products for Enfinity 2.1 are Enfinity 2.4 or Enfinity Multi-Channel Sales 5.
Will Intershop still support Enfinity 2.1 installations?
Intershop will continue to support existing contracts for support of Enfinity 2.1x until December 31, 2005.
