Note
This document is related to the Responsive Starter Store (RSS).
Starting with Intershop Commerce Management (ICM ) 11, the Responsive Starter Store is deprecated and has been superseded by the Intershop Progressive Web App (PWA).
Existing projects using RSS can continue to migrate their storefront to newer ICM versions, for example ICM 14, without replacing RSS with PWA as part of the same migration project.
However, as ICM evolves, deprecated APIs may be removed. As RSS is no longer actively developed to accommodate such changes, additional adaptations can become necessary and migration efforts can increase with future ICM versions.
Intershop therefore recommends planning the migration from RSS to PWA separately.
The present page serves as an overview for the topic. All available documents for the topic can be found here.
Intershop Commerce Management includes blueprint web shops for B2C and B2B business models ("Responsive Starter Store"), which enable the fast and cost-effective creation of customer-oriented shopping environments. These demo stores use responsive web design for optimum display on all devices as well as established web technologies, such as the Bootstrap front-end framework.
